Bert Blyleven 3,400th Major League Strikeout Actual Game Used Stat Baseball 7th Pitcher All Time w/Blyleven Signed Letter of Provenance

This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from August 21, 1988 when the Twins beat the Rangers 12-2. During the game Blyleven became the 7th pitcher in Major League Baseball history to record 3,400 strikeouts. This is the actual baseball from that milestone when he struck out Jeff Kunkel. Blyleven’s victory also tied Carl Hubbell for 35th All Time in Wins.

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
