Bert Blyleven 3,000th Strikeout Actual Game Used Baseball August 1, 1986 w/Blyleven Signed Letter of Provenance

This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from August 1, 1986 when the future Hall of Famer recorded his 3,000th Major League Strikeout when he struck out Mike Davis on a 1-2 curveball in the 5th inning. This is the actual 3,000th strikeout baseball! During the game Blyleven also tied a Twins record striking out a total of 15 batters in a 10-1 victory over the Athletics. An incredible piece of history from his Hall of Fame career!

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
