This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from May 1, 1987 when the Twins beat the Yankees 7-1. Blyleven pitched 8+ innings, giving up 8 hits, 4 runs and struck out 10. During the game he passed Hall of Famer Bob Gibson on the All Time Strikeout list collecting his 3,118th career strikeout. This was his 2nd win of the Twins historic 1987 World Series Championship season.

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
