This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from May 21, 1979 when the Pirates defeated the Expos 4-2. Blyleven pitched 8 1/3 innings, gave up 6 hits, 2 runs and stuck out 6. This was his 1st win of the historic 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series Championship season.

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
