This lot features Bert Blyleven’s stunning and historic full-size 1987 Minnesota Twins World Series Championship trophy. The first and only full-size Minnesota Twins World Series trophy to ever be made available to the public. He was the only player to get special permission from the Commissioner’s Office to have his made. This beautiful trophy measures 24” high without the presentation red base or approximately 32” with the base. This trophy should not be confused for the traditional players trophy that measures approximately 12” that each player and select front office receive. This is the same size the team is presented after winning the World Series.

The front of the trophy reads "Minnesota Twins World Series Champions 1987 Bert Blyleven". The trophy comes fully protected in a custom trunk. Blyleven has signed the outside of the trunk and inscribed “From my home to yours! Enjoy!!! 1987 WS Champs. HOF 2011”. Blyleven went 1-1 in the 1987 World Series winning Game 2 and played a pivotal role for the Twins throughout the '87 season, bringing home the team's first ever World Series Championship!!! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own the only Minnesota Twins full size World Series trophy ever to be made available to the public from one of the greatest Twins of all-time, a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and whose #28 is retired forever in Twins history!

** This lot originates from the personal collection of Bert Blyleven and will be accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Bert Blyleven. Please know that a portion of your bid will go towards charities supported by Bert and his wife Gayle **
