Bert Blyleven 1984 Cleveland Indians Game Used Glove Photomatched w/ PSA/DNA LOA & Blyleven Signed Letter of Provenance

This lot features a Bert Blyleven 1984 game used Cleveland Indians glove sourced directly from Bert himself. There are several images of Bert using this glove while with the Indians during the 1984 season. Rawlings professional model XFG 6P fielder's glove, displays evidence of outstanding game wear. Substantial use can be seen in the pocket, torn web crotch, face of the web, and throughout the body of the glove. The index finger sleeve above the "Holdster" finger hole is somewhat depressed from Blyleven's extended index finger. 'BLY 11' is on the back of the thumb sleeve in black and red marker with his number '28' on the back of the pinky in black marker. The year code, a single dot, is stamped on the back of the thumb sleeve. The glove is constructed of Rawlings top grade "Heart of the Hide" tanned steer hide, bound with tanned rawhide laces and nylon stitching. Features include a pro-style 'Basket Web', a closed "Fastback" with finger "Holdster", an adjustable wrist strap and Rawlings 'EDGE - U - CATED Heel'. The fingers are highlighted with neutral welting. Manufacturer's labeling includes a white on red Rawlings wrist label and an embroidered logo at the base of the web. 'Rawlings' is lightly branded on the face of the heel. Bert enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 1984 going 19-7 with an impressive 2.87 ERA while finishing 3rd in the AL Cy Young voting. Accompanied by a detailed Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (John Taube & Dennis Esken) as well as a signed Letter of Provenance from Bert Blyleven.
