This lot features Bert Blyleven’s 1970 Minnesota Twins Rookie of the Year Award Trophy presented by WTCN-TV. The trophy measures 8x21”. Blyleven entered the 1970 season as a 19 year old rookie. He won his first game in his major league debut on June 5, 1970. He finished the season with a record of 10-9 with a 3.18 ERA, pitching 164 innings and striking out 135 hitters in what would become a 22 year Hall of Fame career.
