This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used final out stat baseball from September 28, 1989 when the Angels beat the Royals 2-0. Blyleven pitched his 60th career complete game shutout, giving up 7 hits and striking out 6. This was the last start of the 1989 season. He earned his 271st career win passing Burleigh Grimes on the All Time Win list. In addition, Blyleven wrote his year end stats on the baseball which read: 241 innings pitched, 2.73 ERA 4th in league, 5 shutouts led the league, 44 walks Angels record.

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
