Bert Blyleven 15th Strikeout Game Used Stat Baseball 3,000th Strikeout Game August 1, 1986 w/Blyleven Signed Letter of Provenance

This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from August 1, 1986 when the Twins beat the Athletics 10-1. This game featured a couple milestones for Blyleven who in the 5th inning collected his 3,000th strikeout. This actual game used baseball is his 15th strikeout from that very game tying a Twins franchise record (15 strike outs) when he struck out Jose Conseco in the 9th inning.

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
