This lot features Bert Blyleven’s hand written game used stat baseball from September 24, 1979 when the Pirates beat the Expos 5-2. Blyleven pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits, 2 runs and stuck out 4. This was his 12th win during the Pirates historic 1979 World Series Championship season!

Blyleven collected these baseballs after the game and personally hand wrote everything pictured on the baseball at that specific time. If he pitched a complete game, these are the actual final out baseballs. All other baseballs are game used from the stated game.
