This lot features an original painting of New York Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams painted by renowned sports artist James Fiorentino in March, 2007. The painting titled "Bernie Goes Boom" stunned Bernie Williams by how beautiful it was in perfectly capturing his swing. Fiorentino is considered one of the top sports artists in the world. At the age of only fifteen, James was the youngest artist to ever be featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the youngest artist ever to be inducted into the prestigious New York Society of Illustrators where his works are displayed along with the likes of Rockwell, Pyle, Holland, and Fuchs. Williams has signed the painting in black marker. This truly one of a kind original painting is beautifully framed and ready to display. Accompanied by a photo of Bernie with Fiorentino and another of Bernie signing the original. Also accompanied by the press release from the event. This original sold for $3,850 back in 2007.
