This lot features an absolutely stunning single signed Babe Ruth baseball, signed on the sweet spot by "The Sultan of Swat." The signature in this Pioneer League baseball is in Nrmt/Mt condition and the ball itself remains in nice Ex/Mt to Near Mint+ condition. Ruth single signed baseball remain the most widely sought after collectible in this hobby and this is one of the nicer ones you will see. Mint Ruth balls fetch over $100,000. Ruth completely dominated his sports more than any other athlete in history. He was actually a pitcher for the first 5 years of his career and actually won the the first of his 12 American League Home Run Title with 11 HR's in 1918 while hitting part time on game that he pitched! Ruth began playing and hitting everyday in 1920 and his HR total rocketed to 54 when other "Home Run Hitters" from the era would end the year in single digits. Important to note that there are no signature removals from this ball making a true Babe Ruth single signed that are becoming even more difficult to find. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA (Cert# A99036).
