This extremely rare original 8-page typed contract from July 8, 1947 sets up contractual obligations between one George Herman ""Babe"" Ruth and Monogram Pictures Corporation specifically detailing an agreement that would result in the filming of “The Babe Ruth Story.” The document remains in remarkable condition and outlines the agreement between the movie mogul and the American icon in 24 separate points. The collectible nature of this contract is quite extraordinary. Not only is the document an original binding vintage contract involving the most recognized name in 20th Century American sport and rare in its own right, but it also carries a gorgeous full black fountain pen, ""George Herman Ruth"" signature that graded a PSA Gem Mint10 along with the signature of his wife Claire Ruth. Along with the 8 page contract between Monogram and the Ruth’s there is a 5 page contract between Monogram and Robert Considine to promptly complete the screen play. If that were not enough, there is a 2 page contract between Babe Ruth and Ford Motor Company providing “The Babe” with a brand new Lincoln Sedan for his services as an advisor/consultant to Ford’s American Legion Junior baseball program from April 1st to October 31st , 1947. Babe has initialed both pages “GHR” and Claire Ruth has added “CR” as well. Overall, a fantastic offering that headlines with a vintage Babe Ruth contract with his rare full name Ruth signature in gem mint condition. This signature is seldom seen let alone offered on one of the most important Baseball/Movie contracts ever executed. Accompanied by LOA's from PSA/DNA & JSA.
