The New York Yankees' 2000 season was the 98th season for the Yankees in New York, and their 100th overall going back to their origins in Baltimore. New York was managed by Joe Torre. The team finished 1st in the AL East with a record of 87-74, 2.5 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox, the lowest of all the teams that made it to the playoffs (mostly because they lost the last seven games of the season). In the playoffs, they got to the World Series and defeated the New York Mets in 5 games to win their 26th World Series title.
This special limited edition print of the 2000 New York Yankees World Series Champions by renowned sports artist, Ben Teeter, portraying Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jose Vizcaino, Chuck Knoblauch, Roger Clemens, Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez, Dave Justice, Andy Pettitte, Paul O'Neill and Orlando Hernandez was exquisitely reproduced from the original oil painting. These giclee on cavas prints are printed on a premium grade canvas and superior grade, non-fading inks were also used to preserve longevity.
This limited edition print is one of one Printer's Proof prints and is numbered PP 1/1 on the lower left of the print. This awesome print is also hand signed by the artist and dated 00 on the lower right of the print. The dimensions are 16" X 20" unframed (stretched on bars). This rare Printer's Proof print is in excellent condition.
A serially numbered, destructible eggshell tamper-proof seal is affixed to the print and it is accompanied by a tamper-proof, forge-proof, copy-proof Certificate of Authenticity from Elaine's Fine Art. The Certificate of Authenticity from Elaine's also has a matching serially numbered seal affixed to it. Any tampering with the seals causes the seal to fragment, making it impossible to reuse, further insuring the Authenticity of the item.
