This stunning official American League B. Bancroft "Ban" Johnson Reach baseball has been signed by 16 members of the 1927 New York Yankees. This iconic team is viewed by many baseball historians to be the greatest baseball team ever assembled. The '27 Bronx Bombers went 110-44 during the regular season before sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 to win the World Series title. The ball has been signed boldly on the sweet spot by Babe Ruth in black steel-tip fountain pen. Others to sign the ball include HOF'ers Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Waite Hoyt, Earle Combs as well as tough signatures Urban Shocker, Wilcy Moore, Joe Giard and Myles Thomas. The 1927 season also happened to be Babe Ruth's finest as he hit 60 HR's, knocked in 165 runs and batted .356. Truly the holy grail of team signed baseballs.
