This rare Rawlings St. Louis Cardinals home white jersey was used by record setting slugger Mark McGwire during the memorable 1998 baseball season in which Big Mac broke the 37 year old Home Run record. The jersey has the Rawlings manufacturer tag along with "Set 1 1998" size "52" and "4 inch shorter length" flap tags sewn into the left front tail. Rare to see the shorter length designation. The jersey has has been signed by Big Mac on the front left chest above the Cardinals logo and has fantastic provenance as it was donated by the Cardinals to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for an auction held by the Foundation on June 13, 1998. Accompanied by a Letter of Provenance from Honorary Chairman Jack Buck who references in the letter that McGwire signed the jersey directly above the Cardinal logo in his presence and that McGwire wore the jersey in early 1998.
