This incredible, extremely impressive "Back-to-Back" size 12.5 ring, weighs an unbelievable 69.7 grams (almost 2-1/2 ounces) of solid 14K yellow gold. This ring hails from the amazing season in which the Denver Broncos finished with a record of 14–2 culminating with a victory over the Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII. It was John Elway's final season, and the season Terrell Davis ran for 2,008 yards, making him only the fourth player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season. The Broncos won their first 13 games of the season. There was much speculation that they might go undefeated and were featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated for just that reason. However, they were upset by the New York Giants in week 15 by a very close score of 20–16. After that loss, they started resting players, and finished the regular season at 14–2. Denver finished first in the A.F.C. West and won their divisional playoff game against the Miami Dolphins 38–3. They then won the A.F.C. Championship over the Bill Parcells coached New York Jets, 23–10. Many had expected Denver to play the 15-1 Minnesota Vikings in the the Super Bowl, but the Vikings lost the NFC Championship Game to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime. The Broncos really had no trouble defeating the Falcons 34–19 in Super Bowl XXXIII. Elway was the Super Bowl MVP and Davis rushed for over 100 yards. It was Elway's very last game in his career, and the last time Denver made its way to the Super Bowl. The 1998 Broncos were ranked as the 12th greatest Super Bowl Champions on the NFL Network's documentary series, America's Game: The Super Bowl Champions! This massive, simply stunning ring was produced by Jostens, and has all the proper markings stamped inside the ring ("Jostens" - "C" in a circle for copyright - and "14K"), and belonged to Marvin Washington #95, who was a 6' 6" DE / DT with the Broncos. Washington was drafted by the N.Y. Jets in the 6th round in the 1989 NFL Draft, and was in his 10th season in the NFL. Although not a starter, he did play in all 16 games for the Broncos. All the stones on top look like brilliant diamonds, but they tested as c.z.'s. This ring is truly incredible and remains in mint condition. It is as visually appealing a ring as you will ever see, an absolute showpiece.
