This lot features the ultra rare 1986 Crunch and Munch set was produced in late 1985 as a test product for the Crunch and Munch Company to use in a proposed 1986 card promotion similar to the 1985 Star Crunch and Munch card promotion (a Star card was placed in a number of Crunch and Munch candy boxes). In January, 1986 Star Company decided not to renew their trading card license with the NBA. These sets were placed in storage in our warehouse and were not presented to Crunch and Munch nor were they previously released. The total quantity of these sets does not exceed 1,500 pieces as opposed to the 5,000 sets produced of the 1985 Star Crunch and Munch set. These sets are 100% authentic and original. After the NBA won the lawsuit against Star Company, most of the 1,500 sets of 1986 Crunch N Munch that were produced were ordered to be destroyed. Because of that fact, this card is beleived to be one of the rarest Michael Jordan cards ever produced.
