This 1968 issue is #1 of the ultra popular series and has been given a grade of 6.5 by CGC. The Silver Surfer is a popular fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character also appears in a number of movies, television, and video game adaptations. The character was created by Jack Kirby, and first appeared in the comic book Fantastic Four #48, published in 1966. It is difficult to locate inaugural issues like the offered example as this particular gem has remained in remarkable condition.
