This lot features a rare Hillerich & Bradsby model C243 Rod Carew 1977-79 Minnesota Twins game used & autographed bat. The bat measures 34.5 inches, weighs 31.8 ounces and exhibits outstanding use with ball marks, ball stitch impressions, handle crack, blue and red bat rack streaks, pine tar and #29 written on the knob in faded black marker. The bat has been signed by Rod Carew in black sharpie "Rod Carew, 3,053" referring to his career hit total. Carew is a member of baseball's Hall of Fame and elite 3,000 Hit Club. The bat is accompanied by PSA/DNA Authentication grading the bat a GU 9. Great bat from the prime of Rod Carew's Hall of Fame career.
