This lot features a "Pistol" Pete Maravich 1970 Topps #123 rookie card professionally graded a PSA 4.5 VG-EX+. Pete was one of the most beloved figures in post-war basketball history and made his cardboard debut in this popular Topps "tall boy" issue from 1970. Before bringing his game to the NBA, "Pistol Pete" Maravich absolutely crushed the competition in college at Louisiana State University. The all-time NCAA Division I scorer, Maravich amassed 3,667 points scoring 44.2 points per game average despite not having the advantage of a 3 point line to pad his stats.
