This lot features a rare and coveted Ozzie Smith 1991 St Louis Cardinals full game used home white uniform. The jersey features "CARDINALS" across the chest, "O. SMITH" across the back on a white name plate and his number "1" on both sides, all in red-on-black tackle twill. The inside front tail of the jersey features a "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with "40" for the jersey's size as well as the "Set 2 1991" flag tag sewn in. The matching game used pants have the "Rawlings size 30" swatch as well as "O.SMITH 30 29 91 2" sewn in for the waist size, inseam, year and set as well as the matching "Set 2 1991" flag tag. Both the jersey and pants exhibit quality overall game use. The jersey features Ozzie's preferred straight cut custom hem, a staple among later career Ozzie gamers. Ozzie has signed and inscribed the front of the jersey in black marker. Ozzie is widely considered to be the best defensive shortstop in baseball history winning an amazing 13 Gold Gloves and named to 15 All-Star teams during his Hall of Fame career.
