In 2008 New York City spent millions of dollars on a bid to host the 2012 Olympics. New York won the right to represent the United States at the International Olympic Committee meeting, but lost the bid to London. These 6 pins were issued by the NYC Organizing Committee as part of their efforts to obtain the Olympic Games.
