Attractive 4x6 George Burke sepia toned photo signed by Hall of Fame catcher Mickey Cochrane in blue steel tip fountain pen. Cochrane played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers and is considered one of the best catchers in baseball history. He passed away back in 1962 at only 56 years young making his one of the more valuable HOF baseball autographs. Chicago photographer George Burke began photographing baseball players in 1929, when he succeeded famous Chicago Examiner cameraman Francis P. Burke as the Cub's official photographer. His location in Chicago gave him access to players on all teams in the American and National Leagues and his photos are coveted by collectors.
