Absolutely breathtaking Lou Gehrig signed in inscribed vintage 8x10 photograph from the movie "Rawhide". The Iron Horse has signed the photo boldly in black steel tip fountain pen "To Bolivar , With Kindest Regards, Cordially Lou Gehrig". In January 1938, Gehrig traded his glove and bat for a saddle and holster when he agreed to star in the Western adventure Rawhide . Gehrig actually played himself in the film, which saw him retire from baseball to run a cattle ranch in Montana. Production on the Western was quick, approximately a month, so that Gehrig would be able to attend spring training. The film's premier took place that March, in St. Petersburg, Florida, where the Yankees were training, and its general release occurred on April 8th. Beautiful, Lou Gehrig signed item. Accompanied by a full JSA/James Spence Authentication Letter of Authenticity.
