This lot features 2 Gale Sayers & Jim Brown autographed footballs. It is important to note that neither of these footballs holds air. Each ball has been individually authenticated by Beckett. Jim Brown and Gayle Sayers are two of the most iconic and influential football players in the history of the sport. Jim Brown played for the Cleveland Browns from 1957 to 1965, and is widely considered one of the greatest running backs of all time. He was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player three times and led the league in rushing eight times. Gayle Sayers, on the other hand, played for the Chicago Bears from 1965 to 1971. Despite a career cut short by injury, Sayers was a prolific running back and return specialist, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977. Both Brown and Sayers were trailblazers in their own right, breaking down barriers and paving the way for future generations of Black athletes in professional football.
