This lot features 2 factory sealed 1993 Topps & Upper Deck Baseball Complete Sets. The Player Card Sets have been stored in a heated and dry storage since their purchase in 1993. The Set Boxes are in the Near Mint to Mint + (NM/MT+) condition range with SHARP CORNERS and SIDES with NO MARKINGS.
The 1993 Topps Baseball Complete Set Checklist has 792 Player Cards while the Upper Deck has 840 Player Cards. The most significant Rookie Card ‘RC’ in both Sets is Derek Jeter. Jeter is Topps Player Card #98 and Upper Deck’s Player Card #449. Jeter played 20 Major League seasons with the New York Yankees was selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF) on the his first ballot, one short of a unanimous vote.
Both the Topps and Upper Deck Sets have numerous Player Cards who have been selected as members of the HOF such as Robin Yount, Ryan Sandberg, Tony Gwynn, Ozzie Smith, Nolan Ryan, Mike Piazza, Ken Griffey Jr. Greg Maddux, Cal Ripken, George Brett and Pedro Martinez.
