Nearly complete original Volume I & II sets of the classic 1935 Mickey Mouse Bubble Gum cards issued by Gum, Inc. There are 48 cards in each volume. This lot includes 81 out of a possible 96 cards (85% complete). A total of 14 cards have been professionally graded by PSA and SGC. Mickey Mouse Bubble Gum cards are considered by many to be the single most classic 1930s non-sport bubble-gum card set. The brilliant colors, high-quality artwork, and popular subject matter have always made this set a favorite with collectors. It is also worth noting that cards from this set are much scarcer than most collectors realize, and far more difficult to find than most baseball cards of the era (such as Goudeys, National Chicles, Play Balls, etc.). Volue I is only missing card #46. Volume II is missing the following: 60, 61, 64, 70, 77, 81, 85, 86, 88, 89, 92, 93, 94 and 96. Card #'s 13, 16, 31, 33, 34 and 36 remain affixed in the Volume I booklet. Cards range in condition from FR-PR to EX/MT condition. This is a very difficult collection to complete. These 2 volumes of Mickey Mouse cards are one of the most popular of all 1930s gum card sets, with tremendous crossover appeal to both card collectors and Mickey Mouse collectors.
