This lot features an extraordinary Michael Jordan item in this signed and framed 1984 Sports Illustrated cover created by Upper Deck Authenticated. This beauty features a bold vintage Michael Jordan signature. The popular cover shows MJ lighting up Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics and is dated December 10, 1984. Making this item even more special is the fact that Michael stopped signing anything to do with Sports Illustrated after a derogatory article was written by the publication in 1994. SI ripped on Jordan for trading in his basketball shows for baseball cleats in a cover titled "Bag It Michael: Jordan and the White Sox are Embarrassing Baseball". From that point on, Jordan boycotted anything to do with Sports Illustrated. Very nice Jordan collectible authenticated by Upper Deck.
