Incredible Kirby Puckett c. 1991-93 game used Wilson baseball glove exhibiting tremendous use throughout. Kirby used two gloves extensively earlier in his career in the mid to late 1980's as well as this early 1990's treasure and kept them upon his retirement and preserved them in heavy duty, sealed acrylic display cases. Kirby had this glove turned into a shrine as there is a baseball inside the glove proudly presented in an impressive display case. This isn't one of those cases where you just lift the top off. It's completely sealed and the ball is fixed in place so that it does not move. "KIRBY PUCKETT" is embroidered on the outside of the glove. The MLB logo adorns the outside wrist. We didn't want to take this treasure out of it's shrine as this is the way Kirby himself wanted it "retired" so we are going to honor his wishes and let the provenance speak for itself. Kirby kept this Wilson KP-92 glove because it obviously held special significance to him. Phenomenal overall use, another unique Kirby Puckett treasure. Accompanied by the actual bag in which Kirby stored his 3 game worn gloves. He wrote "MY PERSONAL PUCKETT GLOVES 3 '87/'91" on the outside in gold marker.

** This lot originates from the personal collection of Kirby Puckett and will be accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from the Puckett family. **
