Exceedingly rare full ticket (7.5 x 4.75 inches) to the 1973 Kentucky Derby, which was won in record time by eventual Triple Crown winner Secretariat. Professionally authenticated, encapsulated and graded a Near Mint 7 by PSA/DNA. This is one of the rarest and most desirable Derby tickets imaginable. The fact that a full un-ripped ticket exists at all is hard to imagine given the the unprecedented excitement generated by Secretariat in what was the 99th running of the Derby on May 5th, 1973. Secretariat set a Derby record of 1:59.40, which still stands to this day. Secretariat went on to win the Triple Crown by posting record times in both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes. Today, Secretariat is regarded by most as the greatest race horse in history. This particular ticket was not for admission to the Grandstand but rather the third floor clubhouse so there is no seat assignment. The ticket has been punched but remains un-ripped and in great condition. Very unique, significant piece of horse racing history.
