Description: This Ken Griffey Jr. 1992 Seattle Mariners game used jersey features "GRIFFEY" across the back on a white name plate as well as "24" on the front and back in blue tackle twill. "MARINERS" is sewn on the front with blue-on-yellow tackle twill. The left tail of the jersey features a "Russell 46" manufacturer's/size tag with an affixed white tags which denote various customizations made to the jersey. The jersey shows light to moderate moderate evidence of game use. Russell supplied uniforms to the Mariners early in the 1992 season before they made the switch to Rawlings. Junior has boldly signed the front of the jersey in blue marker. Very attractive early career gamer of this Hall of Famer and 600 Home Run Club member.
Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema authenticating its use. Miedema concludes: "This is to verify, in my opinion, the game used status of the item cited above, as submitted by VSA. The jersey is made by Russell, and is a size 46 with two special tailoring tags in the tail indicating +1/2" sleeve end and the other special body tapering. In 1992 Seattle ordered their initial sets of uniforms from Russell, the new official uniform supplier for MLB. However, the new Russell uniforms were not well liked by the player for various reasons, causing the Mariners to re-order new sets from Rawlings. The Russell attire was worn for roughly the first 4 weeks of the season until the Rawlings uniforms arrived. The jersey is autographed on the front and shows light wear. Therefore, in my opinion, this is a game used 1992 Mariners home jersey of #24 Ken Griffey Jr. Dave Miedema 3/16/2020."
