Incredibly rare Joe Mauer Rawlings professional model bat from his historic 2009 American League MVP award winning season. The bat measures 34 inches, weighs 32.1 ounces and exhibits excellent overall use with numerous ball marks, handle crack, ball stitch impressions, blue ink transfer marks, pine tar and cleat marks. Joe Mauer's model number (JM7), order number (487) and year (09) are stamped into the knob. This bat is incredibly unique in that it was originally broken while facing future Hall of Fame pitcher Justin Verlander. The bat has since been repaired and displays beautifully. Mauer had 28 HR's, 96 RBI and an incredible .365 BA in 2009 while posting a .444 OBP and 1.031 OPS making it the best statistical season ever for a catcher.
