This lot features a Jacque Jones c. 2001-05 Minnesota Twins game used & autographed bat. Signed by Jones in attractive silver marker. This bat exhibits quality overall use, with ball markings underneath the signature on the barrel. Accompanied by a COA from Elite authenticating the signature, and an LOA from Sports Collectors Digest authenticating the use.
Jacque Jones spent the majority of his career with the Minnesota Twins, playing for the team from 1999 to 2005 and again in 2007. Known for his strong arm in the outfield and his ability to hit for power, Jones was a key contributor to the Twins' success during his time with the team. He hit a career-high 27 home runs in 2002, and helped lead the Twins to the playoffs in 2002, 2003, and 2004. Jones was also a fan favorite in Minnesota, known for his outgoing personality and his willingness to interact with fans. He left the Twins after the 2005 season to sign with the Chicago Cubs, but returned to Minnesota for one final season in 2007 before retiring from baseball. Jones' contributions to the Twins - including 165 home runs and a .279 batting average - have cemented his place in team history, and he remains a beloved figure among Twins fans to this day.
