This lot features a truly significant Jack Morris 1991 World Series Minnesota Twins professional model road jersey exhibiting quality overall use. The 1991 World Series is considered by many to be the finest ever played. ESPN viewers voted this series #1 in World Series history. The series went the full seven games with five of its games being decided by a single run. Four of the games were actually decided in the final at bat with and three of those games going being decided in extra innings. While there were numerous notable plays and "heroes" on any given game during the series it was Jack Morris who pitched a 10 inning shutout in game 7 and won the World Series MVP Award. Offered is Jack Morris' 1991 World Series road jersey originally acquired from the Minnesota Twins bat boy.  The Twins logo patch is affixed to the left sleeve while the 1991 World Series patch is found on the right sleeve. There are remnants under the World Series patch as the Twins initially had a 30 year team anniversary patch on the right sleeve. The jersey shows quality usage and wash wear while remaining in original, unaltered condition. One of the finest Minnesota Twins World Series jerseys offered with excellent provenance. This is, without a doubt, one of the finest Jack Morris game jerseys to have entered the marketplace. Jack Morris recently signed the back of the jersey "Jack Morris '91 World Series MVP". Morris asked the collector as he signed the jersey to stick around after the signing because he wanted to further inspect the jersey. Jack simply told the collector that "he was a lucky man".  The gray knit pinstripe jersey retains its original "Minnesota" team name across the front with 47 beneath. "MORRIS" nameplate remains on the back of the jersey along with "47" below. Rawlings manufacturers tagging is found inside the collar along with "90 1" strip tag indicating its was originally produced in 1990 (commonly seen in postseason uniforms). There have been several other 1991 Twins World Series that have been made available to the market.  The road gray jerseys are tagged 1990 while the home white jerseys are tagged 1991.  That was the norm for this year. We have attached a link to the most notable 1991 Twins World Series jersey ever offered to date.  The Kirby Puckett road jersey sold at auction for $20,000 in July, 2010.
