This lot features a complete set of the rare 1993 Elite Dominators limited edition baseball cards and a bonus of 4 autographed cards. Highlights include: Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Nolan Ryan, Paul Molitor, Don Mattingly, Mike Piazza, George Brett, Barry Bonds, Tom Glavine, Frank Thomas, Ryne Sandberg and Greg Maddux. Each of the cards is a limited print run of 5,000 and are individually numbered on the back. The 4 autographed cards include: Nolan Ryan, Paul Molitor, Don Mattingly and Juan Gonzalez. The 1993 Donruss Elite Dominators set was offered exclusively for sale on the Shop at Home television network. In a series of programs broadcast December 8-13, 1993, viewers were offered the opportunity to purchase a factory-sealed box of either 1993 Donruss Series One or Series Two, which included one Elite Dominator card produced especially for the promotion, shrink-wrapped directly to the box. The entire print run of 100,000 cards were reportedly purchased by the Shop at Home network and were to be offered periodically over the network.
