Description: This Dwight Gooden 1986 New York Mets home white pinstripe game used jersey features "METS" across the chest, "GOODEN" across the back and his number "16" on both sides, all in blue-on-orange tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a "Goodman & Sons" manufacturer's tag with "42" for the jersey's size. The jersey shows light to moderate evidence of game use. The Mets 25th Anniversary team patch is present on the left sleeve. The 1986 season was a special one for Gooden and the Mets as they would defeat the Boston Red Sox to win a memorable 1986 World Series title. Gooden endorsed this important jersey by signing it on the front "My '86 Game Used, Doc Gooden" in blue marker and on the back #16 "Doc Gooden, Game Used, Dr. K, '86 WS Champs" in silver marker.

The jersey is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema authenticating its use. Miedema concludes: "After a thorough examination of this Dwight Gooden game used jersey, it is my opinion that this jersey is authentic as described and can be attributed to being used by Gooden during the 1986 season while playing with the New York Mets."

This treasured jersey from the memorable 1986 New York Mets season is accompanied by a pair of pants that have been signed on the inside waist by Gooden in blue marker as well as outside the pants "'86 World Series Champs, Doc Gooden". The pants were made by Rawlings but can't be attributed to being used by Gooden during the 1986 season. Accompanied by a full James Spence Authentication Letter of Authenticity as well as a Beckett Certificate of Authenticity authenticating the Doc Gooden signatures on the jersey and pants.
