This lot features an exceedingly rare and highly coveted Doak Walker 1948 Leaf rookie card with bright yellow background. This card is virtually impossible to acquire in high grade as there are only 4 in the hobby that have earned the grade of PSA 7 and there are only 2 in the hobby graded higher, both of which are PSA 8's. In fact, there have only been 41 graded making it one of the most difficult Hall of Fame rookie cards in the hobby. The card has been professionally authenticated and graded in PSA 7 NM condition though it's strengths dictate it could have easily been graded higher. The card has 4 solid corners, snow white borders, clean surfaces and incredibly vibrant color. Very high end rookie card of this NFL Hall of Fame running back. Walker won the Heisman Trophy in 1948 with SMU. Today, the best running back in college football is given the "Doak Walker Award" at the end of each season. Tremendous card worthy of attention.
