This lot features a 1992 Deion Sanders Atlanta Falcons professional model home black jersey exhibiting moderate overall use. The numbers and logos are screened on with the "SANDERS" name sewn on back with white on red tackle twill lettering. The Russell size 44 manufacturer and size tags are sewn into the lower left front tail and the Russell logo is sewn on the sleeves above the Falcons logo. Champion actually produced the Falcons jerseys in 1991 and the Champion logos were affixed under the Falcons logo on the right sleeve. This jersey clearly shows where the Champion logo once resided meaning that this jersey was likely used for multiple seasons. Russell took over manufacturing the Falcons jerseys in 1992 and the Falcons had to have their jerseys show the Russell tagging much like Reebok did for Puma in the late 1990's when the Reebok had NFL teams sew their logos over the top of the Puma logos. Deion has signed the back #2 of the jersey in faded black marker. Very nice early career Deion jersey.
