This lot features an 8x10 black and white action photo signed by Charles Lindberg in black marker. Lindberg was a former United States Marine who was part of the combat patrol that climbed Mount Suribachi and raised the first of two U.S. flags on the summit during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. He was one of the last surviving members of both of the Mount Suribachi flag-raising events on February 23, 1945.
