This lot features a unique Carlos Correa game used PRBAHS (Puerto Rico Baseball Academy High School) jersey exhibiting quality overall use. Carlos Correa was only 17 when he was drafted 1st Overall by the Houston Astros in the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft. He quickly worked his way up the ranks through the Astros minor league system before getting the call and making his major league debut on June 8, 2015. In just 99 MLB games, Correa smashed 22 home runs, drove in 68 runs and stole 14 bases, edging out Francisco Lindor to take home the 2015 American League Rookie of the Year Award. The 2016 season was equally successful as Correa hit 20 HRS, had 96 RBI while playing stellar defense at shortstop for the big league squad. While his future looks incredibly bright, his past can be revisited with this Puerto Rico Baseball Academy mesh jersey, game worn by 16-year old Carlos Correa during his 2011 high school season. The jersey, #44, features the initials “CC” handwritten into the interior collar, and is manufactured by Sportszone trademark in Puerto Rico. Purchased from the family of a former teammate, the jersey comes with an LOA from noted game use expert Dave Miedema.
