Stunning original artwork of 2007 Baseball Hall of Fame inductees Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn painted by world renowned sports artist James Fiorentino. This original treasure has been signed by both Cal and Tony in very large, and bold, black marker. Each legend has added the "HOF 2007" inscription. Fiorentino is considered one of the most unique artists of the twentieth century. His skill embodies a compelling sense of realism. At the age of fifteen, James was the youngest artist to be featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum for his likeness of Reggie Jackson, which hung beside the paintings of Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol. His painting commemorating Roberto Clemente remains in the museum as a part of their permanent collection. This exact piece was on display at the Cooperstown Hall of Fame the weekend in which the two legends were inducted into the Hall. Further adding to the tremendous collectible value of this unique piece is the fact that Tony Gwynn passed away way too young at the age of only 54. Beautifully matted, framed, and ready for display. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity directly from the artist himself.
