The pitching staff was anchored by the likes of Roger Clemens, Dave Stieb, and Dan Quisenberry. The American League team dominated the game, winning by a score of 6-1. Henderson was named the game's Most Valuable Player, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. The 1985 All-Star Game showcased some of the best talent in the American League and solidified the league's dominance in the All-Star Game, as the American League would go on to win every All-Star Game between 1985 and 1996.
